Services · Health and safety on site
Health and safety coordination during the works and the health and safety study for the project, in the Madrid region and on the Costa del Sol (Málaga).
Health and safety
We act as coordinador de seguridad y salud (health and safety coordinator) on works for detached houses, extensions, full renovations and buildings, and we write the health and safety study that goes with the project. We do this in the Madrid region and on the Costa del Sol (Málaga).
Fran Cortés, a building engineer (arquitecto técnico) registered with the COAATM under no. 105,287, signs the coordination, and the studio team visits the site in person. We can take it on by itself or together with the dirección de ejecución (works supervision by the building engineer).
What we do
We write the full or basic health and safety study required for the project. What it is and when you need one.
We review the health and safety plan written by the builder and approve it before the works begin.
We coordinate the companies and self-employed workers on site at the same time, so that prevention is actually applied.
We keep the incident book, which must always be on site, and record anything that needs correcting.
The law
Royal Decree 1627/1997 requires the developer to appoint a health and safety coordinator during the works as soon as more than one company, or a company and self-employed workers, or several self-employed workers, are involved (article 3). On a house, that is almost always the case.
The same royal decree requires every project to include a health and safety study, or a basic study for smaller works (article 4). The full study is compulsory when the construction budget reaches €450,759.08 (75 million pesetas), when the works last more than 30 working days with more than 20 workers at once, or when they add up to more than 500 worker-days.
The health and safety plan is written by the builder and approved by the coordinator before the works start (article 7).
