In Getafe
Getafe: the 2003 plan and the air base
Getafe applies the General Plan approved in May 2003. Its Urban Agenda 2030 acknowledges that this plan still governs the city and needs updating to current law. According to the same document, detached housing dominates in areas such as Perales del Río and Sector III.
The municipality is subject to the height restrictions of Getafe Air Base (Royal Decree 330/2011). In those zones no authority can approve buildings or installations without a prior favourable decision from the Ministry of Defence. A prefabricated house is assembled with a crane, so we check the restriction maps to see whether your plot is affected before setting a date.
The planning department is at Plaza de la Constitución 1, third floor, by appointment. The council’s online office has a specific procedure for new buildings.
